Get ready for Belmore South’s very own MINI OLYMPICS!!

While
Beijing is preparing for the Olympics and all of the

countries to arrive,

Belmore South decided to make our very own Mini Olympics on

the 22^nd of August.

Every class in the school was asked to pick a country from the

Olympics.

Our class chose their very own
Jamaica.

On the day all classes must hold a sport, so other classes could

play it.

Our class is holding “Hockey.”

THE CRICKETER’S GO FOR GOLD!!!!!!!!!!

On the 15^th of October about 16 or 17 people from my

school went to the Cricket Gala day. There are 2 teams, a girl team and a boy team and in every team at the Gala day there should be 8 people on each team, (But the boys in my school had about 10 boys). The girl’s team in my school had 5 games but we lost 4 and drew 1.The boy’s team did really well and won most of there games.

When all of the cricket games finished the people that organized the gala day called all of the schools over to the concrete and gave every school a gift bag for there excellent effort on that day.When we got back at school we went to the staff room and had pizza.

Fiery Dragons and WateryWaterfights!

On the 29^th of October, 11 people from my class went to camp for three days and two nights. While they were at camp the left overs were learning about dragons. We were learning about all different kinds of dragons from all different countries.

On the first day that we were learning about dragons we went into the computer lab and looked for websites on dragons. Lots of people found interesting sites.

On the second day we were making dragons, but before we made the dragons Mrs Pericles bought two movies that we were able to watch. Mrs Pericles brought “Mulan” and “Never Ending Story”. Everyone chose “Mulan” except for a few people. Then we made our wonderful dragons. After lunch we all got a good spot and suddenly the movie started.

Then, on the last day we had a Water fight before the campers came. The water fight (at school) was really fun most of the girls from the other classes got fully wet.

On the 17^th of October, 24 people came from the
US. They came in two groups. Instead of telling what we do in the classroom we went to the computer lab and showed them what we do.

My class made a PowerPoint to tell them what we have been doing in the class. Before showing them what we did Timothy and Momtahina were telling them about what we’ve done with the PowerPoint.

After Timothy and Momtahina had showed the PowerPoint the visitors went around and the computer lab and talking with us. People showed lots of different stuff that we’ve been doing in the class like: Scratch, WebbliWorld, Our Individual blogs, The class blog,
Mission maker, Voki. Most people had showed the individual blogs but not all of us did.

The visitors were very nice to us and they looked very interested in what we’ve been doing.

MISION MAKER GAME PLANNING

My topic is=Egypt

Ø I want my setting = Pyramid, Desert.

Characters = Gods, Mummies, Pharaohs.

Pick Up = Gold because it was stolen from the Pyramid, Clues so you know what you might have to do next, Info, Guns to try to open the doors to the next level, Map so you wont get lost, Rubies so you can give it to the gods. Diamonds so you can also give them to the gods, health, protection and Medications, clothes to keep him self warm, keys to open the doors.

Things to invoyed =Sand storms, Scorpoians, snakes.
